We are looking for an experienced Hydrovac Operator who knows their way around underground work and can safely get the job done.
Responsibilities:
- Operate hydrovac equipment to safely and efficiently excavate around underground utilities and pipelines
- Perform daylighting and soft excavation
- Load, transport, and dump materials safely
- Keep hydrovac trucks and equipment clean and in good working condition
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on equipment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Comply with occupational health and safety standards
- Work with crew members to complete jobs efficiently and on schedule
- Report any equipment issues or required repairs to manager
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- Valid DZ or AZ driver’s license
- 2+ years of experience operating hydrovac trucks required
- Experience in underground construction or utilities
- Strong understanding of safe excavation practices around utilities
- Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance and inspections
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces
- Strong work ethic and reliability
