Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Attendant to join our team. This role involves caring for animals, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong work ethic, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
Duties
- Feed, water, and administer medications to animals as directed
- Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and surrounding areas to ensure a hygienic environment
- Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report concerns to management
- Provide attentive customer service by answering questions and updating pet owners on their pets’ status
- Maintain detailed records of animal care activities and observations
- Ensure the safety of animals and staff by adhering to proper handling procedures
Requirements
- Genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being
- Prior experience in animal care or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds).
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends or holidays if needed
- Must be reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail
Pay: From $16.25 per hour
