Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lawn Technician to join our landscaping team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through various landscape maintenance activities. This role requires a strong knowledge of horticulture, gardening, and mechanical tools to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The Lawn Technician will work outdoors in diverse weather conditions, applying their expertise to create beautiful and healthy landscapes.
Duties
- Perform lawn care and landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and fertilizing
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems to support landscape projects
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, and soil preparation
- Conduct gardening tasks such as planting flowers, shrubs, and trees with attention to horticultural best practices
- Assist with construction projects related to landscape design or installation
- Conduct routine inspections of landscapes to identify issues related to pests, disease, or equipment malfunction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and work areas to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in landscaping, horticulture, or gardening is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscape equipment and tools is highly desirable
- Proficiency in operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators is a plus
- Strong understanding of irrigation systems and maintenance procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and best practices for plant health
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation is preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
