What you will do:
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Answer questions about the historic venue and restaurant.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, ensuring all requests are noted.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and recommendations, while answering any questions guests may have.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation and accuracy.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or needs promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Assist with the cleanliness of the facility including daily cleaning tasks.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and restaurant policies to ensure a safe and positive dining environment for guests and staff alike.
What we are looking for:
- Previous serving experience in a restaurant or cafe.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Positive and flexible attitude with an eagerness to learn and contribute to a growing business.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently
- Valid Serving it Right Certification
