Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced High-Rise Commercial Painter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will perform surface preparation and painting work on commercial and residential high-rise buildings, parking garages, balconies, stairwells, mechanical rooms, and other restoration projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, grinding, pressure washing, and patching prior to painting
- Apply primers, paints, stains, epoxies, elastomeric coatings, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Repair minor surface imperfections using patching compounds and fillers
- Mask and protect surrounding surfaces before painting
- Perform exterior and interior painting on high-rise commercial buildings
- Work safely from swing stages, scaffolding, aerial lifts, ladders, and suspended access equipment
- Read and interpret project drawings and specifications
- Maintain painting equipment and ensure proper cleaning after use
- Follow all company safety procedures and Ontario construction regulations
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of commercial painting experience
- Experience painting high-rise buildings or commercial construction projects
- Knowledge of various paint systems, coatings, primers, and surface preparation techniques
- Experience using airless sprayers, rollers, brushes, grinders, and pressure washers
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Experience with swing stages or suspended access equipment is an asset
- Ability to read construction drawings is an asset
- Valid Working at Heights, Swing Stage and WHMIS certifications are required
- Additional safety certifications are considered an asset

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
