Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and their families to provide therapeutic support and interventions aimed at improving behavioral and emotional well-being. You will utilize evidence-based practices to assess needs, develop treatment plans, and implement strategies that foster positive behavioral changes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify behavioral challenges and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions in both individual and group settings.
- Monitor and document patient progress through data collection and analysis.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide case management services, including referrals to additional resources as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment outcomes in compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Stay updated on the latest research in behavioral therapy and special education methodologies.
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health.
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Background in special education or pediatrics is highly desirable.
- Proficient in case management techniques and practices.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data effectively for patient care improvements.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering their emotional growth and development.
