Job Overview
We are seeking a 3rd or 4th year Automotive Technician/Apprentice or licensed Journeyman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues efficiently. Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge
- Perform repairs including engine, transmission, brake systems, and electrical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and assembly tasks
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist with vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair needs and timelines
- Work with team members to complete repairs efficiently and accurately
Experience
- Proven dealership/shop experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Experience with welding, schematics reading, and assembly processes is a plus
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques required for certain repairs
- Hands-on experience with maintenance tasks and use of various tools including hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
