Job Overview:
D Spot Dessert Cafe Airdrie is seeking an experienced and motivated Café Manager to oversee daily café operations, lead a high-performing team, and deliver an outstanding customer experience. The ideal candidate will ensure operational efficiency, maintain exceptional product quality, and drive business growth while fostering a positive and energetic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the café.
- Supervise, train, and motivate baristas, servers, and kitchen staff.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing of café supplies.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve concerns in a professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace regulations.
- Support sales initiatives and implement strategies to improve operational performance.
Duties:
- Oversee opening and closing procedures for the café.
- Monitor daily sales, cash handling, and operational reports.
- Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns and seasonal menu launches.
- Ensure all café equipment is properly maintained and operational.
- Perform additional management responsibilities assigned by senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of café operations, inventory control, and staff management.
- Experience with POS systems and basic business reporting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2–3 years of management experience in a café, coffee shop, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
- Previous experience leading and developing a service team is preferred.
