The Alberta Hip and Knee Clinic is dedicated to helping Albertans live their best lives. Our 21 Orthopedic Surgeons are part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to relieving the pain of arthritis. As the Administrative Team Lead, you’ll empower our MOA teams to ensure our patients receive the care they need. You’ll be working on truly impactful initiatives that help Albertans improve the quality of their life.

The Team:
We use a multidisciplinary team approach to care. You’ll work with Bone & Joint Surgeons and Specialists, Nurse Case Managers, a Rehabilitation Team, Medical Office Assistants, Administrative Staff, and Research Leads.

The team lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of the clinic, efficient patient care, and overall clinic success. Your ability to balance patient communications, staff management, and operational logistics ensures that the clinic runs smoothly and delivers ongoing high-quality care

Your work directly impacts patient experience and clinic efficiency. Your leadership fosters teamwork, boosts morale, and ultimately contributing to better patient outcomes
Paid Well:
Our total compensation package includes extended health, dental, EFAP, vision and life insurance, a wellness program, and RRSP matching. The range of the Team Lead, Administrative position is $70,000 to $90,000 per year.
The Role:
The administrative team leader takes responsibility for the operations of the clinic. This full-time on-site position works from 7:30 – 4:00, Monday to Friday.
How You’ll Spend Your Time
Operational Leadership – 70% of your time is spent here:
- Defining problems and decision making
- Managing human resources and team development
- Providing mentorship and staff support
- Monitoring data and developing reports
- Communications and Patient Engagement
- Goods and Services management
Innovation and Change Management - 20% of your time is spent here:
- Promoting innovation and improving efficiency
- Identifying and introducing new processes, technologies and systems
- Ensuring smooth operations and minimizing disruptions
Other duties and projects as assigned – 10% of your time is spent here

Education/Certification
Completion of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management or related fields.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an supervisory role
- Healthcare experience in a similar-sized environment would be an asset
- Exposure to Accuro software and pivot tables would be an asset
