Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling practices.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when necessary.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper sanitation practices at all times.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
