The Role
As an Automotive Sales Consultant, you are the face of our dealership. You will be responsible for welcoming customers, understanding their unique needs, and expertly guiding them through the vehicle purchasing process. You will showcase the latest Kia lineup, conduct engaging test drives, and build lasting relationships that turn first-time buyers into lifelong customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers on the showroom floor and lot, establish rapport, and conduct thorough needs analyses to match them with the perfect new or pre-owned vehicle.
- Product Demonstrations: Maintain an expert-level understanding of the Kia product lineup, features, and technology to conduct compelling vehicle presentations and test drives.
- Sales Process: Guide customers through the sales process from initial greeting to negotiation, closing, and vehicle delivery, ensuring a transparent and stress-free experience.
- Lead Management: Actively utilize the dealership CRM to follow up with phone, internet, and walk-in leads, as well as reach out to previous customers to generate repeat and referral business.
- Customer Satisfaction: Deliver a premium customer experience that results in consistently high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
- Continuous Learning: Attend regular sales meetings and complete ongoing Kia manufacturer training to stay up-to-date on new products and sales techniques.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification: Valid OMVIC License in good standing (or the willingness and ability to obtain one immediately upon hiring).
- Driving Record: A valid Ontario 'G' Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous automotive sales experience is an asset, but we are highly motivated to train the right candidate with a strong background in customer service, retail, or hospitality.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Drive: Highly motivated, energetic, and goal-oriented with a strong desire to hit and exceed sales targets.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM software, tablets, and learning new vehicle technologies.
