We are seeking a candidate for the role of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Technician. This position supports the organization’s health and safety program through inspections, hazard identification, incident investigations, training support, and ongoing promotion of safe work practices.
The ideal candidate is a safety-conscious employee with strong communication skills, operational knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with employees and supervisors at all levels. In this role your duties will include the following:
- Conduct workplace inspections and identify hazards or unsafe conditions
- Assist with incident and near-miss investigations
- Support corrective action tracking and follow-up
- Promote safe work practices and compliance with company policies
- Participate in risk assessments and hazard evaluations
- Assist in maintaining safety documentation and records
- Support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training activities
- Monitor use of PPE and safe work procedures
- Participate in emergency preparedness activities and drills
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, employees, and the safety committees

The requirements for this role include:
- Experience in operations, maintenance, manufacturing, logistics, or related field
- A valid driver’s license and passport
- Previous leadership, mentoring, or training experience (considered an asset)
- Participation in safety committees or safety initiatives (considered an asset)
- First Aid certification (considered an asset)
- Health & Safety training or certification (considered an asset)
