Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and safe handling of materials. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse management systems, and the ability to operate various types of equipment including forklifts and clamp trucks. Duties
- Operate forklift, clamp truck, and order picker equipment to move, load, and unload goods within the warehouse
- Assist with order picking and packing to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Use warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory levels and update stock movements
- Perform heavy lifting of goods and materials safely according to established protocols
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Organize warehouse space for optimal storage and accessibility of products
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records
- Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during warehouse activities
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics preferred
- Valid forklift certification; experience operating clamp trucks and order pickers is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge helpful for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order processing
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly (up to 50 pounds) safely
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
- Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking and stock management
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift throughout shifts
