Duties
- Assist with site cleanup, including debris removal, waste disposal, and organizing materials to maintain a safe and tidy work area
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment using manual handling techniques or basic machinery under supervision
- Prepare work sites by setting up barriers, signage, or temporary structures as needed for safety and project requirements
- Support skilled tradespeople by carrying tools, supplies, and equipment to designated areas efficiently
- Perform basic construction tasks such as assembling scaffolding under guidance
- Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify hazards or safety concerns and report them promptly
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure personal safety and that of team members at all times
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Good communication skills to understand instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
- Basic understanding of construction sites or manual labour environments is preferred but not required
