Bigelow Flooring, a trusted leader in quality flooring solutions for residential and commercial projects in Guelph and surrounding areas, is expanding its warehouse team. We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to support daily operations under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Coordinator. This hands-on role focuses on accurate receiving, picking, packing, and support to keep materials flowing smoothly to installers and customers. Ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, stays organized under pressure, and takes pride in a clean, efficient warehouse.
This is an in-person, full-time role in Guelph, Ontario. Hours: 7:00 AM–4:30 PM Monday–Friday with one hour unpaid lunch and two 15-minute unpaid breaks. Occasional weekend or evening check-ins required. Salaried position based on 44 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in unloading trucks, inspecting shipments for damage, and verifying counts against purchase orders.
- Pick and stage orders for same-day installer pickups and scheduled deliveries.
- Restock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain clear bin labelling for fast retrieval.
- Wrap, band, and load customer vehicles or company vans safely using pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Keep cash & carry area tidy and customer-ready; assist walk-in clients as needed.
- Perform daily cycle counts and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Coordinator.
- Sweep, organize, and remove debris to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
- Support tool and equipment upkeep, including basic cleaning and flagging maintenance needs.
- Follow all health & safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and WHMIS guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or retail stock roles.
- Proven forklift experience operating in tight spaces required.
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for full shifts, and work in varying temperatures.
- Basic math and measurement skills for counting and cutting materials accurately.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable following detailed instructions.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and clean driving record required.
