Picker/Packer – Third-Party Logistics (3PL)

Location: On-site - Cambridge ON
Hours of Work: Monday to Wednesday, 8:00am-5:00pm, overtime as needed, excluding statutory holidays.
About the Role
We are a growing startup third-party logistics (3PL) company that also supports industrial cleaning operations. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Associate to join our team.
This role is primarily focused on pick-and-pack fulfillment for both bulk and parcel orders, with additional responsibilities supporting general warehouse operations. While this position will also assist with loading and unloading trucks.
This is a dynamic role that will evolve over time. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, physically capable, and comfortable communicating with clients to meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Order Fulfillment
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately for shipment
- Fulfill both bulk palletized orders and individual parcel shipments
- Verify order contents against packing lists and client requirements
- Label, stage, and prepare shipments for outbound carriers
Equipment Operation and Handling
- Load and unload trucks with pallets, parcels, and steel crates
- Secure loads to ensure safe transport
Warehouse Operations
- Assist with receiving inbound shipments and verifying quantities
- Maintain accurate inventory during picking and receiving
- Organize warehouse storage areas for efficiency and safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Technology and Systems
- Learn and use multiple logistics and warehouse platforms
- Enter, verify, and update shipment, inventory, and order data accurately
- Follow documented workflows for system use and escalation of issues
Client Communication
- Communicate order status, timelines, and issues to internal manager and clients
- Prioritize tasks based on shipment deadlines and client requirements
- Flag delays, shortages, damages, or system discrepancies promptly
- Support a high level of service and responsiveness for clients
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Operate equipment in accordance with safety guidelines
- Report hazards or incidents
Startup & Support
- Participate with using new systems, workflows, and operational improvements
- Support changing business needs in a growing startup environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Proficiency in English both written and verbal communication
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical work
- Basic computer skills, a willingness to learn new platforms and processes
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Preferred:
- Experience with pick-and-pack, bulk shipping, and parcel carriers
- Customer service experience

- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $18.50 per hour
Vacation: Accrued in accordance with the Employment Standards Act or paid out biweekly
Overtime: Paid in accordance with the Employment Standards Act
