We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our busy practice. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing exceptional administrative support while ensuring the safe and efficient processing of medical instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to inquiries, and relay messages appropriately.
- Perform medical device reprocessing, including cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, packaging, and storing instruments in accordance with established infection prevention and control standards.
- Support surgeon and clinical staff with a variety of administrative duties.
- Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and workplace safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
- Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR) experience or certification is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail .
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a busy environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
