Job Description:
- Cut pipes to required lengths.
- Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.
- Dig trenches to desired or required depths by hand or using trenching tools.
- Ability to safely work around excavation equipment including excavators, loaders, packers, etc.
- Train, mentor, and motivate junior crew members.
- Carry out site foreman's directives safely throughout daily operations.
- Install various sizes and materials of the pipe.
- Work safely in deep trenches.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure compliance with Alberta OH&S guidelines and Lemieux safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as required.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years working as a Pipelayer in the Deep Underground Utility Installation industry.
- Thorough knowledge of pipe lasers and transit use (leveled, grade, proper working order).
- Ability to read a blueprint and city specifications is required.
- Ability to read and understand Locates is required.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail is required.
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies, OH & S Legislation, and WCB reporting procedures.
- Understand and maintain quality and production standards and work to achieve established production goals.
- Must have your own transportation.
- Must have own steel-toes safety boots.
- Seasonal, full-time, and weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.00-$38.00 per hour
