Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role is vital for the efficient movement, storage, and management of inventory within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with warehouse management systems, and the ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and effectively. Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move materials throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload goods from trucks and storage areas with precision and safety
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Perform heavy lifting as required to handle inventory items safely
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and order picking activities
- Assist in organizing warehouse space for optimal storage efficiency
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or damage
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and inventory management systems
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for order accuracy and inventory counts
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Prior experience with order picking and warehouse management system (WMS) is preferred
- Valid certification or licensing for forklift operation is required or must be obtainable upon hire
- Attention to detail, safety-conscious mindset, and ability to work efficiently in a team environment
Pay: $22.40 per hour
