Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment used in manufacturing operations. This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance expertise, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety standards. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will utilize schematics, CMMS systems, and analysis skills to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment including hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and electrical components.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and control diagrams related to industrial equipment.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.
- Conduct electrical repairs involving low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrician tasks.
- Weld, fabricate, or modify parts as needed using welding skills.
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems, boilers, and other auxiliary equipment associated with manufacturing processes.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Keep detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for audit purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing environments as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in welding, HVAC, boiler systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, PLCs, low voltage systems, and CMMS software.
- Industrial electrician experience is a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex mechanical and electrical issues quickly and accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills in English for effective documentation and teamwork.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy machinery repair and maintenance.

Pay: $27.92-$55.03 per hour
