Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced SRPINTER VAN DRIVER to join our team for local and Canada-wide deliveries. Duties
- Safely operate company vans and heavy equipment for local and cross-border freight deliveries.
- Load, secure, and unload freight using appropriate tools and techniques to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly.
- Navigate efficiently across routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance or repairs as needed, including automotive troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for compliance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
- Ensure cargo is handled with care, following safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, and other machinery as required.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the go.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and cargo security.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing schedules.
- Physical capability to load/unload freight, lift heavy items, and perform vehicle inspections regularly.
