We are looking for Volunteers Teacher( OCT)
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School Teacher OCT (Ontario Certified Teacher) to inspire and educate students across diverse subjects, including English, French, Math, and Spanish. Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in subjects such as English, French, Math, and Spanish
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education needs
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation, respect, and collaboration among students
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools—including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel—to prepare instructional materials and track student data
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure clear understanding of student progress and classroom activities
- Manage classroom behavior and implement organizational strategies to maintain a productive learning space
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with high school students in a teaching or tutoring capacity
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French; additional language skills such as Spanish or other languages are a plus
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings is highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide students toward academic success
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—Word, PowerPoint, Excel—and other educational technology tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clearly and organize lesson content effectively
- Proven time management skills to balance lesson planning, grading, and student engagement activities
