Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of all pool visitors. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining a safe environment, providing excellent customer service, and responding swiftly to emergencies. This is a paid position suitable for individuals who are passionate about water safety and enjoy working in an active indoor setting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor pool area continuously to enforce safety rules and prevent accidents
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including performing rescues when necessary
- Administer first aid and CPR as needed, maintaining readiness at all times
- Enforce facility policies regarding pool usage, hygiene, and safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of the pool area, equipment, and surrounding facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with questions and ensuring a positive experience
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, rescues, and safety checks
Requirements
- Proven swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues efficiently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving rescue equipment or assisting guests
- Current certification in Lifeguard Training, CPR, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- Strong attention to detail and alertness in monitoring the pool environment
- Must be at least 16 years old or older
- Prior experience as a lifeguard is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary
Pay: $20.00 per hour
