Business Development Representative – IT Services & Cybersecurity
Location: Calgary, AB / Hybrid Field Role
Territory: Canadian growth opportunity, with initial focus in Western Canada
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Base Salary + Additional Commission + Performance Incentives
About the Role
We are a growing Canadian technology services company looking for a business development professional to help us expand.
This role is for someone who can create conversations, build relationships, follow up consistently, and turn opportunities into real business. You may be early in your sales career, or you may bring many years of experience and an established network. We value ability, drive, communication, and results over years of experience alone.
We provide IT services, cybersecurity, cloud, Microsoft 365, backup, phone, and business technology solutions for Canadian businesses and organizations of different sizes. You do not need to be a technical engineer, but you should be confident speaking with business owners, managers, and decision-makers about business needs.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants more than a fixed-income role. The base salary provides stability, and commission is paid on top of that. As you help create new opportunities, deals, and client signups, your earning potential and role can grow with the company.
What You Will Do
- Identify and contact potential business clients.
- Build relationships through phone, email, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and in-person outreach.
- Introduce our technology services to businesses that may need stronger IT support, cybersecurity, cloud, Microsoft 365, backup, phone, or business technology solutions.
- Schedule discovery meetings with qualified prospects.
- Ask practical business questions to understand needs, timing, challenges, and decision-making process.
- Maintain accurate notes, follow-ups, and pipeline activity in the CRM.
- Work with internal team members to move opportunities forward.
- Help turn new conversations into real business opportunities and new client relationships.

Compensation & Growth
This role includes a base salary plus additional commission and performance incentives.
Commission is paid in addition to base salary and is designed to reward real business growth, new opportunities, deals, and client signups.
For experienced candidates with a strong track record, established business relationships, or proven ability to create opportunities, compensation can be discussed based on expected contribution.
As the company grows, the right person can grow into senior business development, account management, or sales leadership.
