Spray Booth Finisher – Stair & Railings

Our stair and railing systems have a reputation for being the best in the business: beautiful, value-engineered, and well built. Our Stair Production team is looking for a full-time Finisher to work in our in-house spray booth.

Your regular schedule is Monday to Thursday from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, with overtime hours possible during peak periods.
The wage range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hour, based on your skills and experience.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
· Select and measure the proper materials for each job
· Set up the work area for maximum safety and efficiency before each job
· Complete work in standard cycle processing times to meet or exceed production standards
· Ensure high product quality and appearance through proper sanding, cleaning and application of stain to wood parts
· Move stock to and from the finishing area as required
· Complete written work logs accurately, thoroughly and legibly
· Other duties as assigned
· KOTT Production employees may occasionally be assigned to work in other production areas on Moodie Drive based on workload, regardless of their primary department.
What you need to succeed
· Experience working with a variety of stains, finishes and wood types
· Experience as a Finisher of stair & railing parts, furniture, or other fine finishing work is preferred
· Experience with lacquer/paint spraying, particularly with Kremlin spraying systems, is a strong asset
· Strong safety focus
· Ability to work well as part of a team
· Self-motivated, hardworking, positive
· Attention to detail
· Ability to communicate well in English
Please note that CSA-approved safety footwear is required – KOTT will provide other PPE
