Compensation: $55,000–$85,000 per year — $55,000 base salary plus performance commission on the new business you generate. Commission accrues from your first day: you earn on everything you land from week one, with payouts beginning after your first 90 days and monthly thereafter.
We're not hiring a manager. We're hiring the person who changes how this company sells.
Toronto Auto Parts has spent years building a strong distribution business in used and remanufactured auto parts. Now we're entering our biggest growth phase: a national wholesale distribution partnership launching this August, an affiliated remanufacturing operation supplying us with exclusive product, and a new sales channel serving recycling yards across the GTA.
Here's the honest part: our sales culture today waits for the phone to ring. That era is over, and we know it. We're hiring the person who ends it — someone who walks onto the floor, sets a new standard by example, and pulls the whole team up to it. If you've ever looked at a sales operation and thought "I could transform this," this is that job, with ownership backing you all the way.
What you'll own
- The culture. Transform a reactive sales floor into a proactive one. You set the pace personally — first call made, last follow-up sent — and build the daily habits, accountability, and energy that make hunting the norm, not the exception.
- The growth number. Your commission is built entirely on new business — new accounts, new wholesalers, new channels. Every dollar you earn above base is a dollar you created.
- A national mandate. This seat starts in Toronto and grows with you: the plan is nationwide sales leadership as we expand across Canada. We're hiring for where we're going, not just where we are.
- A small team you'll rebuild. Coach, structure, and raise the standard for 2–3 reps today; hire your own people as volume grows.
- New business. Hunt proactively — collision shops, repair facilities, wholesale accounts, recyclers. The phone-ringing days are over; we go get it now.
- The existing book. Keep our established customer base strong and well-served while you build the new one.
- The playbook. Pricing conversations, pipeline discipline, sales process — you build how we sell.
Who we're looking for
- Proven sales results you can point to — quota attainment, book growth, deals won
- Evidence you've raised the bar somewhere. A team you turned around, a territory you woke up, a sales floor whose habits changed because you were on it — be ready to tell us that story specifically
- Auto parts knowledge, new and used — you can talk interchange, condition grading, and fitment with a counterperson or a shop owner
- A hunter's mentality: proactive, driven, comfortable creating opportunities instead of waiting for them
- AI fluency — non-negotiable. We run our business with AI embedded in daily work: quoting, outreach, research, reporting. You don't need to be a technologist, but you must actively use AI tools to work faster and smarter, and coach your team to do the same
- Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring salespeople (even a small team)
- Adaptable and decisive in a fast-moving company
Nice to have
- Experience with Progi and/or Checkmate yard management platforms
- Familiarity with Car-Part or similar parts marketplaces
- Familiarity with the GoTo phone system
- Comfortable using WhatsApp for business communication
Why this role is different
- Your raise is written into your contract. Hit defined new-business milestones in year one and your commission rate increases automatically in year two — no politics, no waiting to be noticed. You control it.
- Milestone bonuses along the way — cash bonuses at your first major new-business thresholds, so the wins get rewarded as they happen
- Commission accrues from day one — your first payout at 90 days covers everything you've earned since you started
- A real growth story, not a promise: new wholesale volume comes online in August 2026, and the expansion path is national
- Direct line to ownership — weekly strategy sessions with the President, input on hiring your own team, full visibility into the national expansion plan
- Group perks that matter: employee pricing on parts, at-cost vehicle repairs through our affiliated collision shop, and priority service across our companies
- Build equity in your own results — the team, the process, the culture, and the wins will be yours
