Duz Cho is a 100% Indigenous owned company, with ownership belonging to Mcleod Lake Indian Band. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the diverse cultures and histories of local Indigenous communities. They must have demonstrated experience in applying Indigenous knowledge in a professional setting, adhering to cultural protocols, and working with a culturally safe approach. Knowledge of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) Calls to Action and a commitment to advancing reconciliation are essential.
This will be a physically intense role, and all applicants must be able to pass a physical fitness / Drug and Alcohol test before being hired.
- 14 days on, 7 days off
- 12 hour days, 7 am to 7 pm
- Wage is $24 to $30 per hour depending on experience
- Physically demanding work with repetitive tasks and exposure to the elements
- Workers need to bring appropriate outdoor gear along with steel toes and PPE
- Food is not provided
- Must be able to meet in Chetwynd or Prince George
- LOA depends on home base outside of Chetwynd, Dawson Creek, or Prince George
- Certifications may include First Aid, H2S, and Bear Awareness but need to confirm
Location: Chetwynd, Prince George or Dawson Creek BC, priority will be given to local residents.
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
