POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the administration and coordination of the STR Fleet and its related inventory processes. This position reports to the General Manager, Rental and Used Equipment.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
-
Administer STR Fleet inventory, including ordering, entering, transferring, and removing units

Create purchase orders for new rental equipment and manage order tracking across systems

Process order entry, receipts, and invoices in Quipware, BaaN, and partner systems

Review and analyze rental and sales branch inventory counts; investigate discrepancies and recommend solutions

Compile and distribute monthly rental inventory counts for Canadian branches

Support rental fleet planning and assist with data analysis and reporting

Coordinate equipment additions, disposals, and transfers with Finance and branch operations

Source and procure accessories such as batteries, chargers, and attachments

Monitor and approve branch rental maintenance costs on a weekly basis

Conduct inventory audits and support branch visits as required

Oversee scrap processes and assist with inventory disposition

Provide support and guidance to users on Quipware and rental processes

Assist in locating and coordinating equipment for rental needs

Support the Used Equipment team and other departments as required
KNOW HOW & EXPERIENCE
-
Post-secondary diploma
-
Experience with inventory management systems (Quipware and/or BaaN preferred)
-
Knowledge of lift trucks or related equipment considered an asset

Understanding of inventory processes and basic accounting principles

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
