What will I be doing?
As a Line Cook with The Hilton you will be responsible for preparing food items in accordance to recipes and established standards. The Line Cook will be required to work independently and effectively execute food orders in an efficient and organized manner. This Team Member will also adhere to the standards of the Executive Chef and use correct handling of all food products, maintaining their workspace, utensils and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.
Experience
General food knowledge
Minimum 1 year experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Food Handling Certificate is required
Skills
A passion for working in culinary
Knowledgeable in safe handling practiced when using sharp knives, utensils and hot plates.
Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume restaurant
Must be able to communicate effectively in English; written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well within a Team
Requirements
Must be available to work a variety of shifts (evenings, weekends, holidays)
Must be able to complete a Criminal Background Check to the hotel’s satisfaction.
