Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes.
- Supervise and oversee kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food service.
- Lead food safety and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of dishes and excellent customer experience.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes, presentation standards, and customer specifications.
- Manage kitchen schedules, assign tasks, and oversee food handling procedures.
- Support restaurant management in menu development and special event planning as needed.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse culinary team effectively.
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of kitchen operations and hospitality standards.
- Excellent food handling skills and familiarity with health regulations governing the food industry.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
