Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our bustling restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong attention to hygiene standards, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not required, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and food safety standards are met.
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces.
- Support the food service team by organizing supplies and restocking items as needed.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to uphold health regulations.
- Help with general kitchen duties such as sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal to maintain a tidy workspace.
- Assist in serving food when necessary, ensuring timely delivery to guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cooking, food handling, or restaurant service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude are essential.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and kitchen operations.
