About the Role:
As a key member of the Woodridge Ford Lincoln Service team, the Automotive Technician plays an essential role in delivering an exceptional customer experience through quality workmanship and accurate vehicle diagnostics. We are seeking a Journeyman Automotive Technician with strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities. Experience with Ford vehicles and Ford factory training is considered a strong asset; however, we welcome technicians with experience across all makes and models who are looking to grow their careers with our team.
Primary Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
- Perform vehicle repairs efficiently and accurately in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and A/C concerns using the appropriate diagnostic equipment and procedures
- Road test vehicles before and after repairs to verify concerns and ensure repairs have been completed successfully
- Complete vehicle inspections, including AMVIC, safety, and out-of-province inspections
- Recommend additional maintenance or repairs based on vehicle condition
- Communicate repair requirements and technical information with Service Advisors as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Care for and maintain shop tools and equipment
Successful Candidates Will Possess:
- Journeyman Automotive Technician Certification
- Experience diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems
- Ford dealership experience and Ford factory training are considered strong assets
- Experience working with domestic vehicles is preferred, but technicians with experience on all makes and models are encouraged to apply
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and time management skills
- A positive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
