Job Description:
- Provide topographic and cross-section surveys as required for estimating purposes and for payment of contract unit quantities
- Provide construction layout for curbs, sidewalk, gravel and asphalt work
- Perform AutoCAD take offs for estimating
- Produce as-builts and red-line drawings for clients
- Work with Superintendents and Project Managers to fullfill project needs
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in surveying with a minimum of one year experience in civil construction
- Experience in construction survey is required
- Aptitude for civil construction
- Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowlegde of Civil 3d CAD for site layout
- Ability to process collected data for surface and volume quantities
- Working knowlege of Trimble Access Software
- Ability to operate Trimble GPS and Total Station equipment
- Capable of working individually as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
