- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, drives, and automated control systems (Industrial Electricians).
- Install, align, dismantle, and relocate equipment including conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and other production machinery (Millwrights).
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment safely as required.
- Support continuous improvement and equipment optimization initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, confined space, and company safety protocols.
Valid Ontario Trade Certification:
- Industrial Electrician (442A and/or 309A), or
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A Red Seal
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Solid understanding of industrial manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of PLCs, automation, and controls (preferred for Electricians).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience with automated manufacturing or packaging equipment.
- Experience working with heavy chain conveyor systems (Millwrights).
- High-voltage or power distribution experience (Electricians).
- Experience using CMMS maintenance software.
- Forklift, Crane/Rigging, WHMIS, Working at Heights, Confined Space, and First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), predictive maintenance, or vibration analysis.
- Gas Technician 1 (G.1) certification.
- Industrial manufacturing facility.
- Exposure to noise, dust, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
- Physically active role involving standing, lifting, climbing, and occasional confined space work.
- Overtime and additional hours may be required based on operational needs.
