We are currently seeking a candidate who is qualified for the role of full-time Welding Technologist / Technician. Regular travel within North America and internationally is required and is expected to account for at least 50% of the role. Travel may be required with as little as 48 hours’ notice. The hours will typically be Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Base salary: $60,000 - $65,000 / year (Plus applicable travel premiums)

Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Developing new welding techniques and procedures
- Utilizing high precision robots with GTAW, PAW, Variable Polarity PAW and LASER welding power supplies
- Developing weld programs in order to provide our customers with turn-key welding solutions
- Prepare and set up weld test coupons
- Monitor the welding process and make adjustments for quality and safety
- Weld materials such as titanium, nickel-based or cobalt-based alloys
- Document welding parameters and results
- Develop new welding techniques and procedures
- Working with customers to demonstrate our technology

Key Experience/Education:
- College level education required
- Technician or Technologist Welding Diploma required
- 1-2 years’ previous experience in the welding industry preferred (co-op experience accepted)
- Knowledge in metallurgy an asset
- Knowledge in FANUC programming an asset
- Knowledge of the following welding processes an asset: PAW, LASER, GTAW
