Pulse Directional Technologies (PDT) is seeking a detail-oriented MWD Technician to join our Calgary team. You will be the primary steward of our downhole and surface equipment, ensuring every kit that leaves our facility is field-ready and built to perform.
The Mission:
- Maintain & Innovate: Perform expert repair and maintenance on PDT’s proprietary MWD product lines.
- Analyze: Lead failure investigations, conducting deep-dive analysis and formal reporting to drive reliability.
- Collaborate: Partner directly with the R&D department to implement the latest engineering revisions and master emerging technology.
- Verify: Manage inventory audits and kit preparation to ensure 100% field readiness.
- Represent: Demonstrate advanced MWD technology to clients and stakeholders.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on technician experience in an MWD environment.
- Technical Skill: Superior writing skills for technical reporting and advanced computer literacy. Soldering experience is highly preferred.
- Education: Post-secondary degree (Engineering or Petroleum preferred).
- Physicality: Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and operate a forklift.
Logistics:
- Location: Calgary office with on-call responsibilities and travel as required.
- Compliance: Valid driver’s license (clean record) and ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screen.

Pay: $15.73-$30.00 per hour
