Job Summary
As part of REV’s Development Team, you will manage utility scale renewables projects from development through to the start of construction. The Project Manager is a collaborative multi-tasker, with the ability to lead and coordinate a team of professionals to accomplish complex tasks. The Project Manager sets a plan, seeks approval for and manages the project budget, oversees task execution, and is able to analyze issues and apply their problem-solving skills to overcoming project challenges and capitalizing on opportunities. The Project Manager thinks commercially and brings an ownership mindset to assessing project alternatives and risks. They are driven to create value by turning good ideas into investible opportunities.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:

Support REV Renewables objective of developing and growing a portfolio of utility scale energy generation assets including Wind, Solar, and BESS

Under the leadership of the Director of Development, coordinate and manage all aspects of the development process including: land control, permitting, resource assessment, interconnection, engineering design, equipment supply planning, early EPC engagement, overall project economics and viability, and scheduling

Coordinate and manage teams of internal and external professionals including: engineering, finance, legal, environmental, etc.

Establishing project budget, maintaining project cost controls, ensuring timely payment of suppliers, project reporting, and internal/external stakeholder management

Support due diligence activities necessary to secure project financing and energy offtake agreements

Understand the project’s evolving competitive landscape, including the project’s comparative advantages

Maintain an up-to-date understanding of other relevant factors including local project sentiment, the permitting environment and requirements, the project’s power market, and the business environment

Contribute to special projects as needed
Required Education/Skills/Knowledge:
-
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering, business, environmental science, land use planning, or a related field
-
5-10 years of relevant professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in energy project development
-
Experience developing utility-scale energy infrastructure projects, particularly in PJM or MISO, preferred
-
Demonstrated analytical skills and commercial acumen
-
Experience permitting significant power generation projects an asset

Experience with renewable energy engineering design an asset
-
Knowledge of electrical markets and of the generation interconnection processes in PJM and MISO an asset
-
Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently, with experience overseeing multiple projects/transactions simultaneously

Ability to work in an entrepreneurial organization

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership

Proficiency with software tools including Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Google Earth, and Adobe
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Must be able to sit/stand at a desk, using a computer workstation.

The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, walk; lift push or pull objects up to 20 pounds.

Must be able to handle long periods of screen time and typing.

Must be able to have effective time management skills, with the ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
