Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Produce Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with their produce needs and ensuring the produce stand is well-maintained and fully stocked.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries and purchases at the produce stand
- Maintain a clean and organized produce stand, including rotating stock and removing any expired items
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of fresh produce
- Assist in unloading deliveries, inspecting produce for quality, and storing items appropriately
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the freshness and quality of all produce items
Qualifications:
- G2 drivers licence preferred, not required
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment preferred, not reqired
- Knowledge of different types of fruits and vegetables and their storage requirements preferred, not required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to assist customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity using debit machine for sales
- Ability to analyze market trends and customer preferences
