Hydraulic Technician

Compensation: $30.00–$35.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Technician to join a growing industrial manufacturing team. This role is responsible for the inspection, assembly, testing, commissioning, and servicing of hydraulic systems used in large industrial machinery. The successful candidate will work both in the manufacturing facility and at customer sites, ensuring hydraulic equipment is assembled, tested, and commissioned to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble hydraulic components, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic power units, piping, and tubing according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret hydraulic and mechanical schematics to troubleshoot and resolve hydraulic system issues.
- Perform inspection, testing, commissioning, and startup of hydraulic equipment and automated machinery.
- Provide technical support during equipment startup, testing, and commissioning.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems.
- Support field service activities at customer locations as required.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and machinery safety practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist with general shop activities, including loading and unloading equipment when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience working with hydraulic systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic controls, pumps, valves, cylinders, and related hydraulic components.
- Experience assembling and servicing large industrial machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of industrial machinery safety practices.
- Experience using standard hand and power tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, and internal teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is an asset.
- Mechanical or Industrial Technician diploma, Millwright, or related technical education is preferred.

- Hydraulic press manufacturing or servicing.
