Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Artist to join our team. This role involves preparing fresh sandwiches and food items, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant operations is a plus, but we are happy to provide training for the right candidate.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches and other food items according to company standards and customer preferences
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation procedures are followed to maintain food safety standards
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling additional items when appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness of the food prep area, dining space, and equipment in accordance with sanitation guidelines
- Handle cashier responsibilities accurately, including cash handling and processing transactions
- Support team members in maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food industry standards
Skills
- Food preparation skills with knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient order processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and courteously
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Upselling skills to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
