We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Shipper/Receiver based out of Regina, SK location (707 McDonald Street). Usual hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however, a variant of an 8-hour day, in a full-time position, may occur (ex: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm or 7:30 am to 4:30 pm).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and process incoming shipments accurately and on time
- Verify products are correctly identified, labeled, and undamaged in accordance with company procedures
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup
- Move inventory to designated storage and put-away areas efficiently
- Coordinate and schedule incoming shipments to support smooth warehouse operations
- Report receiving discrepancies to the Purchasing Department
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts
- Assist with scheduled physical inventory counts
- Provide back up support to Counter staff as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 or more years of experience in a warehouse setting required, preferably an industrial setting
- Experience with hand tools and warehouse equipment (pallet jack, forklifts, etc)
- Proactive approach to all tasks
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Effective time management, and punctuality
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to perform business math (basic algebra, compute rate, ratio, etc.)
- Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures
- Technical expertise and knowledge of company products
- Superior organizational skills
- Team player who works productively with wide range of people
- Basic level or higher knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel)
