Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our growth initiatives. This is a full-time position and you can be located in either Calgary or Edmonton, AB,. The key responsibilities include identifying and acquiring new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and tailoring logistics solutions to customer needs. The role also involves developing sales strategies, preparing proposals, and collaborating with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery. A focus on achieving sales targets and exploring partnerships is essential for this position.
Qualifications
- Sales and business development experience, including lead generation, client acquisition, and relationship management
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding and logistics, including international transportation by land, sea, or air
- Strategic thinking, proposal preparation, and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in presenting ideas effectively to clients
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and work under goals-driven environments
- Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is highly preferable
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is an asset
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
Responsabilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and industry analysis
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's customer base and market share

Experience
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the industry
- Strong negotiation, project management, and strategic planning skills
- Familiarity with marketing principles and techniques to support growth initiatives
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for managing customer relationships and sales pipelines
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
