Job Summary:
Responsible for driving sales and profitability through effective merchandise planning, allocation, and in-season management. The Senior Merchandising Manager is leading the Little Burgundy merchandisers and guiding them to achieve their goals as well as the company goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all replenishment of product, including setting models and transfers for their assigned brands and categories.
- Develop, enhance, and leverage reporting tools and analytics to generate actionable insights that drive sales, optimize inventory turns, and improve overall profitability
- Manage the merchandising team to support growth initiatives and achieve sales targets across key stores, including new openings, remodels, relocations and focus stores
- Plan and manage Return-to-Vendor (RTV) activities in alignment with warehouse capacity, store operations, inventory flow, and stock turn objectives
- Ensure allocation models, replenishment strategies, and transfer decisions are aligned with store capacity, inventory needs, and performance trends
- Coordinate and optimize inter-store and regional transfers to maximize sales opportunities and inventory productivity, enabling effective execution by Merchandisers
- Maintain and manage a comprehensive monthly calendar to align key activities such as holidays, RTVs, transfers, and other operational priorities
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales and inventory performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend data-driven actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key departments to support strategic initiatives and business projects
- Provide regular updates and insights to leadership, ensuring key information and business developments are clearly communicated and actionable
Requirements
- 4–7+ years of experience in merchandising, allocation, or planning
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Marketing, Finance) preferred
- Advanced analytical skills (Excel, retail math, forecasting)
- Solid understanding of retail KPIs (sell-through, GM%, weeks of supply)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal which include being bilingual (French and English)
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and high performance environment.
- Ability to operate a computer and use relevant software applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel) and the knowing of the program JESTA is consider as an asset.
