The best candidate is someone with experience as BA and understands what the business wants and is able to communicate it to the team. Someone who speaks both English and Spanish, adapts quickly to the team, and if they have experience with Databricks, it would significantly increase their chances of being hired.
This is a 3 month contract located in Toronto, ON/ Hybrid (1-3 days/per week in the office ( no specific days).
Typical Day in Role:
- Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.
- Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers.
- Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
- Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities Supports one or more highly complex business processes.
- Works on multiple projects as a project team member
- Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on technical projects and requirement gathering.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Experience with requirements management tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
- 5-8 years of experience working with SQL, Visio and Excel.
- 2 years of experience with Power Bi.
Bilingual: English and Spanish
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Any process certification, such as Six Sigma, IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) CBPP, BPM, ISO 20000, ITIL, CMMI.
- Experience in Data Bricks

1st round – Hiring Manager – 30 mins – 45 mins – MS Teams Video – The first 15 mins is for Introduction, project overview, and what we are looking for; the next 15 mins to assess with questions related to previous experience in Business Analysis. No coding is required. The manager will ask questions about Power BI. No technical assessments are required.
2nd round –Senior manager and HM – 30 mins – MS Teams Video – ‘’get to know’’ questions such as ‘’Tell about yourself ’’ and other behavioral questions.
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
