Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with edge banders and drill and dowel equipment. This role involves operating advanced equipment, ensuring quality standards, and supporting production efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with a strong background in edge banding and doweling are preffered. Blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge are an asset. This position offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and develop technical expertise within a collaborative team setting.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to produce parts accurately.
- Perform assembly, and machining operations using hand tools, calipers, and other measurement instruments to ensure quality standards.
- Use forklifts for material handling within the warehouse or production area safely.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify dimensions and tolerances using calipers and other measuring tools.
- Support packaging, inventory management, and warehouse activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Create and maintain SOP's
- Maintain and record edgeband inventory.
Skills / Requirements
- Proficiency with Homag edgebanders.
- Experience using EVA and PUR glues is mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of drill and dowel machines and G Code programming.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, basic math for measurements, and quality control techniques.
- Familiarity with manufacturing standards, machining operations, packaging procedures, and warehouse experience is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision in machining and assembly tasks. Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
