Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Manager to join our team and support the management of our innovative STEM-based educational programs. The ideal candidate will play a key role in cultivating a dynamic and engaging learning environment for children ages 5–14, leading staff, and ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality educational experiences. This role is ideal for an experienced, enthusiastic education professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving setting and is committed to inspiring the next generation of STEM learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of STEM-focused educational programs for children ages 5–14.
- Deliver and facilitate hands-on STEM activities, workshops, and classes.
- Provide program trials and tours to prospective families, clearly communicating the benefits of Steamoji’s learning experience.
- Promote and sell memberships by highlighting the value of long-term engagement in STEM education.
- Support and mentor instructional staff in implementing effective teaching and tutoring strategies.
- Monitor student progress and provide individualized guidance and resources to promote academic growth.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure consistent communication and support each child’s development.
- Participate in professional development and training sessions to stay current on best practices in STEM education.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment.
- Assist with daily operational management including scheduling, staffing, and resource coordination.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in education, youth programs, or related fields, ideally working with children ages 5–14.
- Strong understanding of STEM concepts and familiarity with project-based learning or similar teaching methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to convey the value of educational programs and successfully drive membership sales.
- Leadership experience and a proactive, self-motivated approach to operations and problem-solving.
- Highly adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
- A passion for working with youth and fostering their interest in STEM subjects through innovative, hands-on learning.
- Knowledgeable in coding, robotics, 3D design and modeling, animation, and experienced with software platforms such as Tinkercad, Tinkercad Codeblocks, Scratch, Blender, Unity, Onshape, and Python.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
