Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Shop Laborer to join our team.
This role involves supporting warehouse operations, handling heavy equipment, and assisting with shipping and receiving tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, construction, or heavy equipment operation, and possess a strong work ethic to contribute to our efficient workflow. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in construction, or industrial work.
Duties
- Load and unload materials using heavy equipment such as forklifts.
- Assist with order picking and inventory management within the warehouse
- Operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently, including forklifts and load/unload equipment
- Previous knowledge of chain link fence components is a an asset.
- Support shipping & receiving processes by preparing items for dispatch or receipt
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety standards are met
- Support construction-related tasks as needed, including material handling
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of warehouse operations
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or construction is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, skid steer's is a plus
- Experience with angle grinder, drills, impact tools and willingness to work with specified manufacturing shop equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Experience as a order picker
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse environments
- Construction experience is beneficial but not required
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and efficiency
- Valid certification for forklift or skid steer operation is preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $16.15-$24.00 per hour
