THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Parts Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, accurately processing parts requests, and ensuring the efficient operation of our customer's parts department. This role is essential in providing timely and accurate parts support to minimize downtime and optimize workflow.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but are not limited to the following):
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming parts shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Maintain organized inventory records using our inventory management system.
- Retrieve and issue parts based on work orders or requests from maintenance or production teams.
- Assist in locating parts within the warehouse or storage areas efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies or shortages.
- Ensure all parts are stored safely and in compliance with safety standards.
- Support the ordering of parts to replenish stock levels as needed.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the parts department.
- Other duties as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Journeyman Parts certification
- Prior experience as a Parts Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to operate inventory management software and basic office equipment.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and vendors.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of pumps, engines and compressors is preferred but not mandatory.
