About the Role
Niagara Falls Tourism is seeking a creative, innovative, and detail-oriented Social Media & Content Specialist to join our Marketing team. This role is responsible for creating engaging digital content, managing social media channels, supporting marketing initiatives, and sharing the Niagara Falls experience with audiences around the world.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing photo, video, and written content, managing social media platforms, supporting influencer partnerships, and helping grow awareness of Niagara Falls as a world-class destination.
This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media and Content Creation
- Develop, create, and publish engaging photo, video, graphic, and written content across Niagara Falls Tourism social media channels.
- Manage social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice, visual identity, and content quality across all channels.
- Capture on-location photography and videography of destinations, experiences, events, and member businesses.
- Build and maintain an organized library of digital assets for marketing use.
- Stay current on social media trends and apply innovative ideas to increase engagement.
Influencer Marketing & Partnerships
- Identify and build relationships with influencers and content creators aligned with Niagara Falls Tourism’s brand and audience.
- Coordinate influencer visits, including itinerary planning, partner coordination, and on-site support.
- Communicate campaign goals, expectations, and brand guidelines with creators.
- Review influencer content to ensure brand alignment and quality standards.
- Track campaign performance and prepare reports outlining reach, engagement, and results.
- Maintain influencer relationships and creator databases.
Strategy, Analytics & Collaboration
- Monitor social media analytics and use insights to improve content strategies.
- Prepare performance reports and provide recommendations based on audience engagement.
- Research emerging digital marketing trends, platforms, and creative tools.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team on campaigns, promotions, and initiatives.
- Support Niagara Falls Tourism’s brand presence and member-focused initiatives.
Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, digital marketing, or brand management.
- Experience with photography and videography, including operating cameras and editing content.
- Experience working with influencers, creators, or digital partnerships is considered an asset.
- Experience within the tourism, hospitality, or travel industry is an asset.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and short-form video content.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Canva, etc.).
- Strong photography, videography, and visual storytelling skills.
- Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for digital storytelling, tourism, and creating memorable experiences.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation required.
Please note: This role may require occasional evening and weekend work to support events, content shoots, and destination activities.

Pay: $63,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
