Position Overview:
Position: Full Time Tactical Security Guard - Retail
Site: Cambridge Centre Mall
City: Cambridge
Hours: Various Shifts, must be available to work days/afternoons/nights/holidays/weekends
Pay Rate: $17.60/hr starting
Role & Responsibilities:
- Working closely with Mall Management
- Full knowledge of 494, Trespass to Property, and Oxford Customer Service Excellence
- Filing paperwork
- Responsible for coaching and counselling guards
- Ensuring guards are trained on important procedures (fire panel, power-outage, bomb threat, etc)
- Review and respond to emails relating to Security or Security Supervisor
- Adjusting schedules according to operational needs with scheduling software
- Be aware of any procedures or site changes
- Memo book checks
- Review incident reports to ensure all is up to standard
- Review and save important CCTV footage
- Writing reports
- Obtaining statements and collecting information for Incident Reports
- Performing Customer Service-related functions
- Experience with enforcing TPA and situations where Use of Force is required
- Be physically capable of performing the required duties
- Basic knowledge and use of integrated security systems
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid Ontario G/G2 Class Driver License
- Must be available for all shifts (days, afternoons, nights, holidays, weekends)
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, emails, typing )
- First Aid/CPR Level C
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment
- Police Foundations would be considered an asset
